Na reação pública ao anúncio da sua ida para a equipa Ferrari no Mundial 2019 de Fórmula 1, Charles Leclerc declarou-se “eternamente grato” à Scuderia “pela oportunidade dada” não se esquecendo de Nico Todt e da sua família.
Mas o piloto monegasco fez questão de fazer duas evocações especiais: ao sei pai, falecido no ano passado, e ao piloto Jules Bianchi, amigo da sua família falecido em 2015.
A publicação seguinte nas redes sociais prometeu “trabalho mais intenso do que nunca para não desapontar” a Ferrari terminando com a garantia de retribuir à Sauber até final desta época a oportunidade que lhe foi dada para a estreia na F1.
