Durant confirma que rompeu o Aquiles e deixa mensagem aos fãs

Kevin Durant confirmou esta quarta-feira que rompeu o tendão de Aquiles, tendo sido mesmo já operado.

O basquetebolista dos Golden State Warriors, que se lesionou no jogo cinco da final da NBA frente aos Toronto Raptors, deixou uma mensagem aos fãs nas redes sociais.

Recorde aqui o momento da lesão de Durant.

«Queria atualizar-vos a todos: eu rompi o meu Aquiles. A operação foi hoje [quarta-feira] e foi um sucesso», escreveu o jogador de 30 anos.

«Como disse na segunda-feira, estou a sofrer profundamente, mas estou bem. O basquetebol é o meu maior amor e queria jogar naquela noite [frente aos Toronto] porque é isso que eu faço. Queria ajudar os meus companheiros. (…) Estou orgulhoso por ter dado tudo o que podia fisicamente», pode ler-se ainda.

What’s good everybody I wanted to update you all: I did rupture my Achilles. Surgery was today and it was a success, EASY MONEY My road back starts now! I got my family and my loved ones by my side and we truly appreciate all the messages and support people have sent our way. Like I said Monday, I'm hurting deeply, but I'm OK. Basketball is my biggest love and I wanted to be out there that night because that’s what I do. I wanted to help my teammates on our quest for the three peat. Its just the way things go in this game and I'm proud that I gave it all I physically could, and I'm proud my brothers got the W. It's going to be a journey but I'm built for this.
